The Baby Countdown!

Of course I’m subscribed to my own blog in Google Reader. I mean you never know when Rachel might post on our blog, because she does that so often… o wait… on second thought… well anyway, moving on.
So I never really noticed the little link up toward the top right corner when you are viewing a feed in Google Reader. It says ”show details” (which if click magically becomes a ”hide details” link). Being of the curious sort, and willing to take risks, I clicked that little link while viewing my blog’s RSS feed. That little link gave me a few details. Actually two to be exact, and they are as follows:
- This feed has 0.0 posts per week and
- There are 11 subscribers to this feed
So this post is two fold. 1. Bring up the post count. 2. I’m bummed that there are only 11 subscribers in Google Reader and since this blog has to be more popular than that (it has to right?) then I must assume my readers are terribly ill informed and don’t know about Google Reader.
Let me assure you that Google Reader is the coolest thing since sliced bread! It lets you keep up with any RSS enabled website without having to check up on the website constantly. For instance, I subscribe to 95 RSS feeds, many of them blogs of folks I like, friends etc. Anytime a blog I subscribed to in Google Reader has a new post it shows up in my Google Reader thanks to that nifty thing called RSS!
Try it! You’ll love it!
That should help my post count

I think there is a control freak in our family… and no it’s not me.
Let me give you one small example.
Rachel’s MacBook almost always sits on top of the entertainment center, with audio and video hooked up to the television. Now, Macs have this cool program called Front Row, and they also have remote controls. The remote always sits on the shelf next to the rocking chair.
We often use Rachel’s MacBook to play music through the TV by means of the remote and Front Row. When an album or playlist gets done, Allen immediately begins frantically pointing at the shelf where the remote resides practically shouting “Moe, Moe” and then pointing to the TV (Moe means remote)…
Yes, that’s what I call micro management!

Quote from the Franklin Springs Film page:
Although Tom and Melanie Nicklas desired a large family, having two of their six children born with disabilities was not part of their dream—until the Lord made it a part of their vision to honor Him!
So we just wrapped up Post Production on this and sent it off to the duplicators.
It’s a good film, you need it… go and watch the trailer, GO AND BUY!

So, I’m not feeling particularly wordy, or in any particular mood to comment on all these photos. So I’m just going to sumarize real quick and then post the pictures in the order they were taken. BTW, all these were taken with my iPhone. Not all that bad for a cell phone.
So anyway, Elder Lovett is on a much needed vacation and Elder McDonald came, with family in tow, to fill the pulpit. We (Heritage) were able to spend Friday and Saturday evenings with the McDonalds… Here’s the pics.

I cannot tell you how ecstatic I am about this. It’s like a dream come true! Thank you 10.5.3!!!
I have been looking for a way to sync my local address book with gmail EFFECTIVELY for over a year. And suddenly Apple and Google just give it to me! This is beyond joy, this is… is… is… I can’t even find the words to describe it.
And it works just fine. Of course I had so many things out of order in my Gmail address book that I had to do some organizing after I performed the first sync, but now, my iPhone, OS X Address Book, and Gmail address book are blissfully in sync! Now, wherever I go, as long as I have internet access my contacts are with me! Yeah yeah, I can see you all yawning… But you’ll get over it
For those who don’t care about geeky stuff,
