I’ve got a great new header design for the site, what do you all think?

I think it looks pretty spiffy!

UPDATE: This was part of an April Fools Day joke (I thought it was pretty cute but who knows if ya’ll did). The header has been returned to it’s normal random rotation of pictures. Here is what the header looked like:

Also note, if the header has still not returned to normal for you, try refreshing your browser.

Today is my Birthday… I feel like I’m getting old all the sudden! I’m more than half way to 50 (well it’s true, last year I was half way to 50).

I’m supposed to celebrate at my parents house tonight.

Did anyone get me something from my wish list?

I have been made aware of this through a friend and don’t know how many this will affect of people I know, but I’ll post it here anyway. I do have some friends in Illinois, and I know it has been verified to have happened in Illinois. Anyway, here it is:

JURY DUTY SCAM :
This has been verified by the FBI (their link is also included below). Please pass this on to everyone in your email address book. It is spreading fast so be prepared should you get this call. Most of us take those summons for jury duty seriously .. a new and ominous kind of fraud has surfaced.

The caller claims to be a jury coordinator. If you protest that you never received a summons for jury duty, the scammer asks you for your Social Security number and date of birth so he or she can verify the information and cancel the arrest warrant. Give out any of this information and bingo, your identity was just stolen. The fraud has been reported so far in 11 states, including Oklahoma, Illinois, and Colorado. This (swindle) is particularly insidious because they use intimidation over the phone to try to bully people into giving information by pretending they are with the court system. The FBI and the Federal Court System have issued nationwide alerts on their web sites, warning consumers about the fraud.

CHECK IT OUT YOURSELF AND SEE Snopes site: says this is real fraud.

I’ve finally done it! I moved away from Blogger. This site is now powered by Expression Engine Core.

As you can also see, I came up with an entirely new design. I didn’t keep a single element from the old design. Since I’m doing more and more website work, this site had started to become an embarrassment! In my opinion my web-designing skills have improved 100 fold since I did the last design of this site.

For a sample of some of my other work try these:

For those of you who care, and know something about webdesign, there is not one table on this site so far. It’s all CSS. I may resort to using a table on the contact page since I have a basic contact template formatted that I’ve been using for a while now. But if I have a few minutes, I may port it over to CSS just to say I have one site that doesn’t have a table on it at all.

There now, hopefully my next post will be more interesting for those of you who don’t care about technical stuff.

Alrighty then, because we seem to have picked up a comment troll who can’t behave themselves, and because I’m still with blogger and can’t ban people, I have enabled comment moderation. I’m sorry for the inconvenience, but if you comment, if the comment is useful, and nice, and not mean, or about subjects I have no interest in discussing on my personal blog, then it will be approved as soon as I can get to my control panel.

Someday I’ll get around to switching over to Expression Engine, then I can allow all comments and ban the trolls. I really don’t like Blogger that much.

I suppose some people just don’t have anything better to do, I pity them!

As of today I have been married to my wife for two wonderful, glorious years! It’s hard to believe it has already been that long, the time has just flown by so fast. It’s hard to express just how much my wife means to me after two years. I have no idea how she has been able to put up with me for so long for one thing!

I am blessed beyond measure to have the wonderful wife that I have, and I am grateful to the Lord for bringing her to me. She is my joy and crown and her price is far above rubies.

May all the years the Lord grants us to be together be as happy and joyous as these first two years have been.
