I am excited to finally have the City On a Hill project in the preview stage finally, but that sure doesn’t mean I can rest now…
I have so much going on it’s not even funny, but I am very excited about everything in my life right now. It looks like I will be filming another lecture in Peoria at Providence Church if all goes according to plan. This will just be one lecture though instead of five. It will be on the 4th of July weekend and Dr. Schultz will be the speaker. With his knowledge of history and his wonderful speaking style it should be a great 4th of July weekend.
I also need to turn my attention back to my album and try to get some work done on that.
During my regular work day at Franklin Films / Franklin Springs Family Media, we are going like crazy on several projects, not the least of which is the Amy Grant Live DVD.
I have also been adding to this site one page at a time. I just finished a little bit of work on the film section. It seems to be going so agonizingly slow…
Rachel purchased The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe for me last weekend. It is just as good as I remember it from the theater, though the surround sound and experience of the theater was much better of course. It still strikes me how a good and Godly movie can still be made today and do really well.
We also rented The Fugitive this past weekend and that was such a great movie. As far as secular actors go, Harrison Ford has to be one of the best.
Okay, I think that’s it for my general ramblings for now. It’s interesting how I have just had nothing to post about lately, so that’s exactly what I’m posting about

As I mentioned in a post previous, I had the privilege to attend Boerne Christian Assembly while I was in Texas. It was a rather enjoyable time as I had the chance to speak with Isaac Botkin after the service, and during the fellowship meal. He had many interesting things to share, and I quite enjoyed my conversation with him. Unfortunately I’m not necessarily much of a conversationalist, and as some of you may know, sometimes the only thing I can talk about is Macs and how much better they are than Windoze PCs. I’m afraid I may have overdone it with Isaac and conveyed the wrong idea to him… but after all, he uses PCs when he should be using Macs, and I told him that the Lord could save him from such delusion
. In all seriousness it was a very pleasant time.
My boss, director and owner of Franklin Springs Family Media, was also able to spend some time with Doug Phillips, and Doug even posted about us on his blog HERE. I look forward to being able to spend more time with the brethren from Boerne Christian Assembly.

And have been for a week. I’m sorry I haven’t posted sooner. We are still processing all of the footage we shot and digitizing the footage from the Varicam’s tapes. It’s been a really busy week.
In the evenings I have been editing the City on a Hill conference so I usually don’t get to bed until about 11:00 pm or so. I’ll try to find time to post something of worth before too much longer.

I am leaving Kerrville Texas this morning and headed to Ft. Worth. I will be taking a detour this morning however to go to Boerne Christian Assembly for Church.
In Ft. Worth we will be filming a live concert at Bass Hall which should be a lot of fun. We will be using 4 Varicams and one Panasonic HVX200. The 200 does not shoot on tape, instead it uses cards called P2 cards, which fits in a PC-MCIA slot of a Powerbook or most PC laptops. It will be my responsibility to co-ordinate the offloading of media from the cards.

I am writing this from Texas, where I’ll be for almost two weeks on two productions of the company I work for. I will return to my beloved wife next Thursday.
Rachel is actually away right now in Peoria for her sister’s recital which was this past Saturday and will be returning to Tennessee Wednesday. Of course she will be returning to an empty house. I already miss her a lot!

Thanks to Vision Tennessee for bringing this to my attention.
As Paul stated, he received an “urgent appeal” from Planned Parenthood today that said they needed him to contact the 2006 Public Health Family Assistance Sub-Comm concerning SJR-127 which just passed the Senate.
Planned Parenthood is providing the means to allow everyone to contact the committee members. When you click the link it has a default text in the message box, which can be edited along with the subject line. Paul sent his own personalized email which you can read at the first link in this post, and below is the letter I sent:
Subject:
Please vote YES on SJR-127
As a Tennessean, I’m elated about SJR127, the proposed amendment to our Constitution that would remove the so called right to abortion for the women of Tennessee. Our state Constitution exists to help protect the people’s rights, including the rights of unborn children!!!
SJR127 has passed in the Senate, and I understand it will be up before the Public Health and Family Assistance subcommittee in the next few weeks. Please vote for this life affirming, morally sound bill.
While the Senators who voted for SJR127 are doing their duty to protect the lives of Tennessee’s unborn children, very little is being done to criminalize those who would seek to perpetrate this crime on those children.
SJR127 is not the complete solution, but it is a step in the right direction,
Please stand up for the rights of women AND UNBORN CHILDREN in this great state, and vote FOR SJR-127.
Thank you for your courage and leadership.
Please send your personalized email here and urge them to vote yes, and take a step in the right direction.
Thanks Paul for the heads up!
