Starting Friday, Charles and I had a weekend recording session (Charles is my co-producer/co-musician on my up and coming album). We did practically nothing but record, stopping only to go to church on Sunday morning and have lunch at my parents after church. We also did stop for sleep a little bit now and then…

To summarize, I am exhausted!

Hello to all those who read my blog. I know I haven’t posted much lately, but there is a good reason for it. Yes I’m going to pull out the normal bag of excuses such as, not enough time, too much going on, no internet at the house etc. etc.

But as to there not being enough time, I have been kept too busy to type up posts when I am at home for two very good reasons. First of all I have been working feverishly on the new album I’m producing! Secondly, I have had a lot more housework than normal when I get home from work. You see, my wife hasn’t felt much like doing the dishes or cleaning or any of that stuff lately so it sort of falls to me. But there is also a very good reason as to why she hasn’t felt like doing these things very much. Unfortunately her condition of late has been causing something called morning sickness.

So the announcement is that Rachel and I are expecting! As I said however, Rachel has been having a lot of morning sickness though. We are really hoping this will go down during the second trimester (next month).

We hope that this will be the first of many covenant children that God will grant us to raise. The ultimate goal of my life right now is to raise children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord for the furtherance of His kingdom. As I’m sure that any reader of this blog that has been reading for any length of time must know by now, we believe that children are a blessing from the Lord. And God has given me a vision (passed on to me by my parents and to Rachel by her parents) of not limiting the amount of blessing the Lord will bestow upon us. May the Lord grant me the wisdom to raise up children that will serve and honor Him! And may the Lord bless us with children according to his will and purpose.

We went to church on Christmas morning! I must say that it was much better than canceling and staying at home and being self centered! After church, we had a feast in honor of the birth of the Lord Jesus Christ. It was really awesome.

Then after church, we had a good time opening presents at the Price’s. Here is a few pictures of the festivites.

Rachel recieved a math calender for Christmas, she was very happy… I don’t understand math people!

David is always the life of any party, and Christmas was no exception this year.

Anna was very excited about recieving the Anne of Green Gabels series.

My mother-in-law opened a package addressed to the entire Price family. It was a bottle of pure maple syrup, yum yum.

Rachel loves candles very much, which is somewhat of a problem since some candles give me a headache. However, it made her very happy which makes me happy.

David got me Johnny English, which I am sure Rachel does not really appreciate. Our sense of humors are sometimes incompatible.

Here’s Rachel again, she received a bottle of spices, and this is a great picture of her… and I just adore her anyway!

David received a photography book.

I also received the movie Hook!

Here is a random picture of my beloved.

And a final picture of, who else? My dearest.

A professional VO recording session with the Carpenters

In a professional studio

Another day at work…

So that my dear readers is what I do all day… well, something like it. Sometimes we have to make do with what we have and just keep chugging along.

Our house is starting to look a bit like Christmas finally (we seem to be slow about such things...).

We have a Willow Tree nativity set and a Playmobile nativity set on each side of our living room bookshelf, and on the top we have garland and lights.

Rachel and I began hanging these the Saturday before last, but we only had two strands so we didn’t make it past the front door starting from the left of the house.

This past Saturday we hung the rest of the lights that Rachel bought that week. I really do like icicle lights on houses.

It’s not much, but it certainly makes the house more cheery than it was.

After all that work hanging the lights Rachel decided to take a computer break.
